Close facial assessment during a consultation at Darling

Before you book

The essentials.

Yes. Every treatment plan begins with an appropriate consultation and suitability assessment. Some pathways require a separate face-to-face prescribing consultation. Booking never guarantees treatment.

Bring details of relevant health conditions, medicines, allergies and previous cosmetic or skin treatments. For concerns about existing filler, previous treatment records or product details are helpful where available.

You are not expected to arrive with a procedure selected. The practitioner will listen, assess and explain suitable options, alternatives and limitations so you can make an informed choice.

No. Outcomes, longevity and recovery vary between people. The clinic will discuss reasonable expectations and never promise a particular result.

A consultation does not commit you to treatment. You can take time to consider the information provided and should never feel pressured to proceed.

By treatment

Questions about specific treatments.

Lip enhancement

The intention is always a result that respects your existing features. What is achievable and appropriate will be discussed honestly during consultation; no particular outcome can be guaranteed.

No treatment is assumed in advance. A consultation and suitability assessment come first, with time for questions and informed consent.

Facial harmonisation

Not necessarily. It describes the way the face is assessed as a whole. The most appropriate plan may be limited, staged, skin-focused or may involve no treatment at all.

Preserving identity and expression is central to the consultation. The practitioner will explain the limits of treatment and only recommend an approach they consider proportionate and suitable.

Skin boosters

They are different treatment approaches. Your practitioner can compare their purpose, process, risks and likely course after assessing your skin rather than recommending from a label alone.

There is no universal course. Any proposed schedule should reflect the treatment selected, your skin, response and the manufacturer's and practitioner's guidance.

Microneedling

Skin responses vary and develop over time. Your practitioner will discuss reasonable expectations for your concern without promising a fixed result or timeline.

Treatment spacing and combinations require practitioner approval. More is not automatically better, particularly while the skin barrier is recovering.

Medical facials

You do not need to diagnose your skin from a menu. Book the appropriate consultation or skin appointment and the practitioner can guide the choice after assessment.

Tell the clinic about your date before booking. Timing should allow for possible skin responses, and an unfamiliar treatment immediately before an event may not be advised.

Filler dissolving

No. Suitability depends on the substance used, the concern and the clinical assessment. Product information and previous treatment records can be helpful where available.

Do not assume this will be appropriate. The practitioner will advise on assessment, recovery and any future plan, with safety taking priority over speed.

Anti-wrinkle consultations

No. The consultation is for assessment and discussion. Any later prescribing or treatment decision depends on suitability, professional judgement and informed consent.

An in-person assessment enables the relevant practitioner to review your history, concerns and facial movement and to meet current professional requirements where prescribing may be considered.
